Operation Blue Star hero Lt Gen KS Brar Interview just after operation
Retired Lt General KS Brar, who led Operation Blue Star in 1984. explains why and how the military action against militants inside the Golden Temple complex was carried out. Lt Gen Brar was attacked in London on October 2, 2012 by four assailants recorded on CCTV as men having long beards. Returned to Mumbai from London on Wednesday, two days after being attacked. Lt Gen Brar was attacked by four men with a knife in London. The Home Ministry is expecting reports from the External Affairs Ministry and RAW on the investigation. The Home Ministry has refused to comment on who could be behind the attack before the reports are prepared.
Lt General Kuldip Singh Brar, who was attacked in London on Sunday night, has claimed that it was an assassination attempt on him. "There were lot of hate messages on net, there were online threats against me. There were pledges to kill me," said Brar, who is known for leading Operation Blue Star against Sikh terrorists in 1984.
