Bilateral talks thrive between Zardari and Manmohan, Bilawal invites Rahul


India and Pakistan are neighbours and we wish to have good relations with our neighbouring country India, we have spoken on almost all the topics, says President Asif Ali Zardari.Both have talked of the prospective meeting at Pakistan soil. Zardari has invited PM for further talks.

Far as this has been a personal visit of the Pakistan president and Manmohan Singh has accepted the invitation. The talks have been tabled successfully.

But his time protests also went up against the Pak president's visit here in India.

Shiv Sena in Lucknow has been protesting against the neighbouring country visit. Zardari has left for Ajmer in Indian helicopter.

It has been a friednly exchange of talks in the meeting that lasted for 40 minutes.

Bilateral trade ties were also being discussed. Hafiz Saeed issue was also being touched upon to which the Pak president wills for further rolling of talks.

Rahul Gandhi's future action for past failure in UP


Rahul Gandhi on Friday threatened "swift and strict action" against non-performers in Uttar Pradesh elections, triggering uncertainty about the status of Union ministers from Uttar Pradesh and raising the prospect of crackdown against saboteurs in the state organization.

"My hands may be soft, but they will take harsh action," Rahul is learnt to have said at a meeting of party MLAs from Uttar Pradesh held here as part of the two-day investigation into the reasons for the party's debacle in assembly polls.

The threat facing central ministers and other biggies from Uttar Pradesh appeared real when the Congress general secretary spoke of the need to "fix accountability" in a meeting he later had with party MPs from Uttar Pradesh.

Shoe thrown at Rahul Gandhi


Dehradun: A shoe thrown at Rahul Gandhi during an election rally in Dehradun. One person has been detained for throwing the shoe.

Rahul said that such attacks were not going to deter him. 

"If some people think that throwing a shoe will deter me and force me to run away, them they are mistaken. Rahul Gandhi will not run away," he said.

One person has been detained for throwing the shoe.

This is not the first such incident that took place during Rahul Gandhi's campaign this election session.
On Saturday, January 21 two youths raised black flags and shouted slogans against corruption when Rahul Gandhi was addressing a poll rally at tribal-dominated Duddhi in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh.
Soon after their act, they were beaten up by some people attending the Adivasi Sashaktikaran Dhanyawad rally.

Police detained one of the youths Ajay Kumar Singh, who is said to be the supporter of yoga guru Ramdev.
Two days before the black flag incident, Rahul Gandhi On Thursday had to abruptly end his speech at a rally in Banda after some youths demonstrated with banners and posters demanding bringing back of black money stashed abroad.

Moreover, this was the second shoe attack that took place in Dehradun within a week.

On Saturday, January 21 a person hurled a shoe at Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal at a public meeting in Dehradun itself. The shoe was hurled when Kejriwal was on his way to the stage, but before the team could realise anything, the attacker was whisked away by the police.

The man, identified as Kishan Lal, has been arrested. Lal said, allegedly this was in response or a reaction to Anna Hazare's comment on the slap at Sharad Pawar, and he was reacting to that comment, which he perceived to be very insensitive.

Rahul Gandhi should remember his mother's background: Uma Bharti

As the assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh is not far away, war of words heated up between the arch rival Bhartiya Janata party and Congress.

Addressing a rally, Rahul Gandhi slammed BJP leader Uma Bharti for being outsider to Uttar Pradesh. He said as she hails from Madhya Pradesh then why at an election time she came out and pledging for votes.

Ms Bharti did not shy away. "I want to remind Rahul Gandhi that his mother is from Rome and she was accepted in India.

I am just from Madhya Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi should remember his mother's background before commenting on his aunt."

"I also want to remind Rahul that in Madhya Pradesh, I trounced his political guru Digvijaya Singh.

I intended to repeat that in Uttar Pradesh since he has cheated people with false promises for a package for Bundelkhand," she added.
