Nupur Talwar would surrender or face arrest?

Nupur Talwar, who has been accused of murdering her 13-year-old daughter Aarushi, has moved the Supreme Court against a non-bailable warrant issued for her by a Ghaziabad court yesterday.

The court refused to hear her plea today, but said it will take it up tomorrow. The warrant was issued after Nupur did not show up at the court yesterday.

In February 2011, the court had ordered Nupur and her husband Rajesh Talwar to stand trial for Aarushi's death.

The next date of hearing has been fixed by the Ghaziabad court for April 18. This means that the CBI can arrest Nupur any time before then if she does not surrender.

Mrs Talwar has been missing since the warrant was issued - a team of CBI officials went to her residence last night, but did not find her there.

A special CBI court in Ghaziabad on Wednesday issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against murdered Aarushi Talwar's mother Nupur Talwar for failing to make an appearance in the court during hearing of the case.

The court issued the warrant after the CBI demanded the same due to her non appearance.Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar was present in court for the hearing and an order was awaited.

The special CBI court had on March 14 asked Nupur to appear in court within 30 days. But the Talwars' counsel sought exemption on the basis of a pending plea in the Supreme Court against facing trial.

Their review petition will be heard by the apex court on April 27.
