Vidya Balan is very fond of Rekha. The actress loves to dress and look like the beautiful Rekha. The fact that both actresses hail from South, bonds them more than anything else.


Rekha was super impressed and moved by the way Vidya portrayed the role of Silk Smitha.

Rekha said that Vidya was fantastic in her character. Rekha gave her blessings and hugged Vidya after watching the film.

Shahid Kapoor and Chitrangada on stage at Colors Screen Awards

Shahid Kapoor and Chitrangada Singh on stage at 18th Annual Colors Screen Awards 2012.

It was at Shahid’s  suggestion that Chitrangada was roped in to co-host a segment of the event with him.

Shahid, who also performed at the awards, was initially to anchor with Anushka Sharma. However at the last minute, she was unable to do so.

This was when Chitrangada stepped in, thanks to the actor’s recommendation.

During the anchoring the duo’s chemistry was to be seen. They were extremely comfortable with each other.

“It appears that Shahid has hit it off well with Chitrangada. They behaved like buddies. His growing friendship with the actress did attract attention at the venue,” says an onlooker.
