Gopal Kanda helped Ankita Sharma to fulfil her Bollywood aspirations

It appears that Geetika Sharma, who had blamed former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda in her suicide note, was not the only one victimised by the minister.

Another name which has surfaced is that of Ankita Sharma. Unlike the 23-year-old air-hostess Geetika, Ankita, whose name came up in the suicide saga, stood by Kanda.

For, he had helped her fulfil her Bollywood aspirations. Ankita, according to Geetika's suicide note, has a baby with Kanda. He exploited her in return of small-time roles in Bollywood movies. She essayed a tiny role in the Aamir Khan and Kajol starrer Fanaa.

Kanda had managed to get her this job using his Bollywood connections. The former minister had spotted Ankita during one of her 'mujra' performances at his Gurgaon farmhouse.

A dancer by profession, she wanted to act in Bollywood movies. Kanda took advantage of this and got intimate with her. He used his contacts to get her roles in B-grade movies. He later took care of her family and also helped her financially, which gained him Ankita's loyalty.

Talking about Kanda and Ankita, Bollywood starlet Nupur Mehta said: 'Ankita was jealous of Geetika and Kanda's proximity. She had called up Geetika's parents and told them about Kanda and their daughter. She also called up Kanda's wife and Geetika and Ankita had even fought over this when the former worked in Kanda's Goabased casino.

Geetika also lodged an FIR against Ankita after she took away her bag which had her passport. But, the FIR was later quashed after Ankita returned the bag, Nupur added. Ankita also has a role in driving Geetika to the edge; her name was included in Geetika's suicide note.

'Geetika's family alleged that Ankita used to call them up and ask them to force her to rejoin work with MDLR,' a police officer said.

But the Delhi Police are yet to question Nupur and Ankita. They have already sent a notice to Nupur to join the investigation, but she has not cooperated yet. 'We will question Nupur to find out what passed between Geetika and Kanda in Goa,' the officer added.

Ankita, who has been out of India ever since Geetika committed suicide, has been traced to Singapore by the Delhi Police. According to sources, it was Kanda who asked Ankita to leave the country.

The police will bring her back to question her in the case. Geetika had committed suicide at her house in Ashok Vihar on the night of August 4- 5. She had accused Kanda and another official of MDLR Airlines, Aruna Chaddha, of harassing her and forcing her to commit suicide.
