Babu Bajrangi was beaten up in Sabarmati Central Jail

He is destined to spend the rest of his life behind bars, but the days are unlikely to be peaceful for Babu Bajrangi.

On Tuesday morning, Bajrangi was reportedly assaulted by four of the accused in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts case in Sabarmati Central Jail when he was brought for a medical check-up at the jail dispensary.




Sources said when Bajrangi was brought to the dispensary the four accused were already present there.

"Once they identified Bajrangi, they pounced on him," said the source,adding that since the assailants were unarmed, Bajrangi did not suffer any major injury and was immediately taken away by the security personnel.
