Leopard struck in iron railings rescued
A leopard which was struck on an iron rod at the compound of iron railings of BEML factory and was battling for survival for nearly three hours was rescued on Monday.
However, its condition is stable despite deep injury on thigh region.The female big cat, aged around 4 years, seems to have got struck while jumping over 7-ft compound of the factory, some 12 kms away from Mysore city during early morning hours.
The incident came to light after BEML security personnel alerted forest officials around 7.30 am.
