Veena Malik assaults her female co-star Vedita
What happened was Veena Malik was shooting a scene with co-star Vedita Pratap on the sets of the film Mumbai 125 Kms. In the scene Veena was supposed to grab Vedita by the neck and bang her head on an iron rod. But Veena was apparently too much into the character, or perhaps overacted, because she actually roughed up the poor Vedita and banged her head on the rod for real.
Vedita was furious after the incident and had to be taken to a city hospital for treatment. Reports say she has got a gash on her forehead that might lead to a scar, something that could affect Vedita’s career. We hear Vedita has complained to the director and alleged that Veena had an ulterior motive in getting violent.
“I don't know what happened to Veena. She actually hurt me and she did it so badly that I had nail marks on my body. I don't know what was wrong with her. And then she pushed me so badly and banged my head on the rod,” Vedita is quoted as saying by a Mumbai daily.
Veena Malik hasn’t commented on the matter yet.
