Pak Actress Laila Khan Missing
Bollywood starlet Laila Khan has been missing along with her family from their Mumbai residence for about 10 months. Her mysterious disappearance has left the police puzzled as they have been clueless about Laila's whereabouts.
Laila Khan aka Sara had debuted opposite Rajesh Khanna in film Wafaa in 2008. A promising film career beckoned her. However, in January this year she seemed to fall off the map along with her mother and three siblings.
Laila was last spotted in Jammu and Kashmir. A few months ago, a car belonging to her was found abandoned in Srinagar.
Rakhi Sawant's director brother Rakesh had launched Laila in Wafaa. During a visit to J&K he was informed about Laila's sudden disappearance by some locals. Rakesh sensed something fishy and reported the matter at the Oshiwara police station.
The case got murkier since then. Rakesh learnt that Laila's father Nadir Shah had already lodged a missing persons' complaint at the police station in August. Instead of enquiring about his family's whereabouts, he pressed the police to transfer the possession of Laila's house at Sunshine Society in Oshiwara to him.
Nadir Shah had separated from his family since 2006. To complicate the matter further, an unknown man was also residing in Laila's flat. Her mother had claimed the man was Laila's husband.
However, talking about Laila and her family, Rakesh said, "My flat is next to theirs. I have met the boy. There was a Kashmiri boy, who was, I guess, the brothers' friend."
With the growing number of loopholes in the case and the father being a prime suspect, the Mumbai Police has sprung into action. The Mumbai Police has been trying to solve the mystery with the help of J&K Police.
"We got information that they have moved to Tanzania. We have launched a search... using mobile records of the four members, we will trace out their location," said a police officer investigating the matter.
