Fire breaks out at set of Aamir Khan's TV show
MUMBAI: A fire broke out at the set of Aamir Khan's forthcoming TV show situated at Madh Island in Malad on Monday night.
Although the actor was not available for comment, Dinesh Chaturvedi, general secretary of Federation of Western India Cine Employees who visited the set said, "about four fire engineers have been pressed into action. The set is still under construction and luckily workers were not present."
He added, "the bylanes in that area are very narrow and this made it difficult for the fire engines to reach the set."
Actor Aamir Khan is likely to visit the set of his TV show after the fire is doused off.
An industry source said, "the actor was keen going to the set on Monday night but fire brigade officials are not allowing anyone to enter the set. He might go there in the morning (Tuesday) to survey the damage.
The show is being produced by Aamir Khan Productions and is expected to go on air in early 2012.
